2007-11-06 07:58 MAC - The Stylistics
Efter detta inlägg bojkottar jag nog MAC. Kanske. The Stylistics är en kollektion som för tankarna tillbaka till förra vinterns MACouture. 2007-08-01 15:09 100 Eyes of the Mystery Scene Era
Well, I did it. I sucked it up and pushed "SEND" and my article, " 100 Eyes of the Mystery Scene Era " whisked it way to MS editor Kate Stine for inclusion in its 100th issue, which should be at fine newstands and bookstores even as I type. (It's also available at the MS website, of course, where every back issue sold will result in a $5 donation to the New Orleans Public Library.) When Kate first announced MS was approaching its landmark 100th issue, she asked us regular contributors to think o …

2007-07-31 18:41 How we say hello in New England
I just passed my neighbor in the street and he gave me the New England salute: a "moue." He might have waved his hand, nodded, smiled, flashed his eyebrows, or even stopped to chat. But, no, what he had for me was a moue. This is a small gesture of the mouth. Lips are pulled back and compressed, as if someone were about to play the trumpet. it happens very quickly. If you are not watching very closely, you'll miss it. (In the image to the right, President Bush is making what might be a mou …

Hot Fuzz - The creators of Shaun of the Dead return with another film full of mirthful mayhem. Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is a London police officer who's so good at his job that he makes his fellow officers look bad, so he's promoted and shipped off to the quiet village of Sandford, where he's teamed with Danny (Nick Frost), the oafish but well-intentioned son of the local police chief (Jim Broadbent). When people start turning up dead in incidents the village leaders consider accidents, Nicho …

2007-04-01 05:49 No, I didn't see his face. I'm not made of eyes!
Dreams really can come true!! All it takes is some internet research, a friend willing to drive, and $7.50. Indeed, I'm referring to my own private Mecca (for this year) the Hot Fuzz screening and Q&A with Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright. If you don't know who they are you should: A)Scroll on; B)IMDB them; or C)Kick yourself and realize they're the dudes that brought us Shaun of the Dead (and also realize I've posted about this about a million times). Moving on, the screening was awesom …
