These are some of the silks I've been working on. They're hand dyed using powdered cochineal, a bug that produces dye that can range from scarlet to violet to light pink to plum and even orange. I was able to generate a few different shades of plum and purple and a little pink. I had very little success achieving a true red on the silks, but then, this is my first time working with this stuff.
