2007-07-17 15:32 Denmark: What is a fatwa
A fatwa is an Islamic legal ruling. It can be a "death sentence", which in today's Muslim world actually means calling for an "open season" on somebody, but it doesn't have to be. It can technically be any decision on how to act in a specific case. When the Danish Islamic Society lost its court case against Pia Kjærsgaard, its leaders announced they will seek a fatwa. A fatwa for what This was Reuter's take on the story: "We are very disappointed with the verdict and are considering an appe …

2007-07-14 19:16 The Good News From Denmark
Europe is on the front lines of the Great Jihad, and Denmark is leading the active resistance against the Islamization of Europe. Two welcome events have come out of Denmark in the last few days, each of them sure to warm the hearts of the Counterjihad and also to provoke the worst from Islamic Rage Boy (would that be islamisk raseri dreng ) in Denmark and throughout the Muslim world. Both of these articles feature Islamisk Trossamfund, which is the Danish equivalent of CAIR, according to Kepibl …

Today the leader of the Danish People s Party, Pia Kjaersgaard, was acquitted of defamation in a case initiated by the Islamic Society of Denmark, a salafist organization with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. The Islamic Society took the matter to court after Kjaersgaard in January 2006 in a newsletter called a group of Danish imams traitors . Her comments followed the news of the imams travelling to the Middle East to provoke a boycott of Danish products and turn public opinion against Denmark …

2007-07-13 16:41 Denmark: Muslim group loses court case, threatens fatwa
Kasem Ahmad is spokesperson for the Danish Islamic Society. He apparently wants Danes to believe what really bothers Muslims in Lebanon, Iran or Iraq is a Danish newspaper. Maybe they should boycott Jyllands-Posten. I'm sure sales will drop considerably in Saudi Arabia. A Muslim group lost a libel case on Friday against the leader of a Danish anti-immigrant party who had accused its members of treason for publicizing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad. A court ruled that Pia Kjaersgaard, leader …

2007-07-13 16:16 Friday the 13th - a good day
Today a court in Denmark acquitted Pia Kjaersgaard, the leader of the Danish Peoples Party for calling the travelling imams of the muslim faith society for 'traitors'. The court aknowledges that Pia Kjaesgaard's comparison of the imams with 'traitors, 5th column, misinformants and liars' is her evaluation of them and therefore is allright. The muslim society had fined her for 30.000 danish kroner (ca. 5.000 USD), but the muslims now have to pay the cost of the trial - about 8.000 USD. So this fr …

2007-07-13 14:33 It Ain't Over Yet.
There are two noteworthy things in the news in Denmark today, both related to the famous Motoons, the longest running comedy farce in Denmark! Pia Kjærsgåård, leader of the Danish Peoples Party has ben cleared in a libel suit brought by the Islamiske Trossamfund against her, for calling the imams and their associates traitors after their visit to the middle east last year. Their actions against the Danish newspaper and indeed, the Danish government filled the press for weeks here. Islamiske Tros …

2007-07-13 13:47 Free Speech Victory in Denmark; Fatwa Issued
A Danish Muslim group lost its libel case against Pia Kjaersgaard, leader of the far-right Danish People's Party. Kjaersgaard branded a group of local Muslims as seditious after they travelled to the Middle East to denounce Jyllands-Posten's publication of the Mohammad cartoons. Reuters reports : A court ruled that Pia Kjaersgaard, leader of the Danish People's Party (DPP), did not libel the Islamic Faith Community when she accused some of its members of treason for travelling to the Middle East …

2007-07-13 10:37 Danish Muslims Lose Libel Case, Threaten Fatwa

2007-07-13 09:04 Danish Muslims call for fatwa against Jyllands-Posten
Jyllands-Posten, you may recall, is the newspaper that originally published the notorious cartoons of Muhammad that ultimately touched off worldwide Muslim riots. Now it appears that Muslims in Denmark, seeing that the Danes have not punished the cartoonists for exercising their freedom of speech, are bent on exacting some kind of retribution. Flemming Rose, the Jyllands-Posten culture editor who made the decision to publish the cartoons, writes at Pajamas Media (thanks to Blicher): Islamic Soci …

2007-07-13 02:06 Danish Muslims call for fatwa against Jyllands-Posten
Islamic Society of Copenhagen can t accept the secular laws of Denmark, and therefore they plan to seek support in the Middle East for a fatwa against Jyllands-Posten, if the newspaper is acquitted in a pending civic case, which a number of Muslim organizations has initiated against the paper, and if the European Human Rights Court also makes a decision that goes against the legal demands of the Muslims. This is tomorrows top story in Jyllands-Posten. Until now nobody has had to answer for insu …
