A pedestrian struck and killed by a taxicab early Sunday morning in the East Falls section of the city has been identified as a La Salle University student from Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Steven Amarillo was an only child who grew up in a big extended family in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. I was thrilled to read this recent op-ed in the Philadelphia Inquirer by Harvard biz school graduate Mike Kerlin, who sets the stage by reminding us that only 6% of MBAs enter nonprofit management.
