When Markus Wespi and Jérôme De Meuron do renovations/conversions, they call them 'change' houses. This project, Umbau Haus Bu (2005), is an ancient stable converted into a home, located on the shore of Lago Maggiore in the tiny village of Scaiano in Ticino, Switzerland, right across the border from the Lombardia region of Italy.
