With Uruguay leading 1-0, Uruguayan captain Diego Lugano was issues a red card in the 38th minute for elbowing Gerardo Torrado. German biotech company MediGene AG presented modified version of the herpes simplex virus known as NV1020 at the annual European Society for Medical Oncology conference in Lugano, Switzerland. Based from lab tests, the genetically engineered virus is capable of killing cancer cells while leaving normal tissues unharmed.
