[3Q 2001] "You heard me, Jules," said Chaudhuri. "The whole state" I asked her. "Or just Kansas City" In the tiny phone-screen, Chaudhuri's anxious expression deepened. "The state, woman, the state. The larger portion of Kansas City proper is actually on the Missouri side of the state line. There is a Kansas City, Kansas, but most people don't realize that's not the Kansas City they know and love, and why am I explaining this to you"

2007-10-17 13:46  Nolte (R) v. Stone (D) - 33rd - look for a great race
Terry Nolte (R - 33rd) is looking at a good quarterly report (as opposed to some other Republican state representatives in close races). He went out and raised $12,000 from PACs and Republican election committees. Rep. Nolte knows he is in for a battle. He followed Gov. Blunt around Jefferson City, and we all know how unpopular Blunt is after he kicked 100,000 people off health care. Nolte barely beat Terry Stone by 76 votes in 2006. Nolte raised $4,800 this quarter. That is the wonderful power …

Open Letter to Members of the Party: NSM Party Comrades, I am addressing this publically, but it is directed at active Party members. When I first joined the NSM I knew it would be something I would stick with the rest of my life, it was not a club, a gang, or some fleeting thrill for the moment, it was a commitment to a way of life, and a direct link to many of our Forefathers who fought for Blood and Soil. Fellow Party members, most of you have taken the Oath of Loyalty to the Party, and those …

What's the hottest story coming out of the recent quarterly reports. No, it's not Jay Nixon raising more than Blunt when the caps are in effect. Its not even Dr. Sam Page having a great quarter. Although campaign reports aren't due until the end of the month, it's pretty obvious that Parents for Choice in Education(PCE) is getting a huge influx of money from SOMEWHERE or SOMEONE. In one corner we have Bush and Congressman Graves - in the other we have Senator Kit Bond, Mayor Kay Barnes and social justice Catholics. i know i've been sports-heavy lately, but that's where my mind is. it's been so long since the University of Missouri sported an exciting team that, you know, had a chance to win big games that it's been rather strange to witness the successes of this Tiger team. after the loss to oklahoma, the team is saying things like "we let this one get away" and "learned some things about what it takes to get to the next step." and they did let one get away. football is an inherently unfair sport, in my vi …

2007-10-15 12:34  It's 1990 all over again!
I've been watching college football since the early 80s and prior to this season, 1990 took the cake for the craziest season I had ever seen in terms of the contenders getting knocked off of their perches in rapid succession. In the end, voters were left with the unenviable task of picking between a 10-1-1 Colorado team and an 11-0-1 Georgia Tech team. Colorado lost at Illinois, tied Tennessee, required a fifth down to beat 4-7 Missouri and a last-minute touchdown to beat 5-6 Stanford at home an …
