2007-11-07 16:46 Problem with the photo online lab PhotoBox
PhotoBox is one of largest photo online labs in Europe. But the photo lab PhotoBox custom service doesn't care about my e-mails. PhotoBox support in UK was contacted 23 rd of October by me concering of VAT receipt on payment of an order. Companies in the EU should be supplied VAT-free provided they have registered their VAT number. Otherwise I will have an extra cost of 17,5% when I buy from the photo lab. It's very pretty that they refuse to help me because I really love their quick ordering ha …

2007-09-15 21:54 Back Home
We're back. We got back from a week in Dorset yesterday, we had a great time, for the very first time EVER, it didn't rain for the whole week, Mark and I are usually holiday jinxes, never book the same week away as me, it always rains! But last week was warm and sunny, the odd overcast moment but on the whole the weather was great. I even got a tan!, well, I say a tan, that may be a little optimistic, I lost my usual pale blue hue in favour of a more lobster-like shade. I've got that red inverte …

2007-08-28 11:22 Almost too tired to scrap
It wasn't a great night last night. Having been sooooo tired all day (and succumbing to sneaking off and grabbing a half hour nap in the afternoon until Nigel caught me, woke me up and told me that was no way to beat jet lag) I couldn't sleep. Part of the reason was Boushka crying all night. I mean, for goodness sake, she had the run of the house and could be in the bedroom with us all the time if she wanted to be, but no. She would sit on the landing and howl until Nigel called her and then she …

HAPPY BIRTHDAY nyghtpet I don't know WTF happened to my birthday graphic, but Photobox or Photoshare or WTH-ever has randomly deleted some of my pics BECAUSE THEY SUCK. Anyhoo, Steph, I just love you so much. In the maelstrom of insanity which is LJ, you have provided a haven for me in which I can say anything and everything I want without fear of judgment, reprisals, or prescription medicine. You just get me. That's such an awesome thing, and I just can't thank you enough. You are truly a wonde …

2007-07-20 08:28 Moo - the party
Last night I went up to Exmouth Market in London for the launch of the new StickerBooks by Moo. An excellent party. I think it was Suw who commented that they promised us a "hot and sticky" party, and given the weather yesterday, that's what we got. The venue was adorned with various Moo products. I like the look of my own Moo cards, but I'm continually astounded by the quality of the cards that other people come up with. It was also a great opportunity to pursue my efforts to meet people in my …

IE 7 was running slow and keep having popups. After scanning and fixing with Spybot and Antivir, seemed better but then same problem came back again. Uninstalled IE 7 and seemed better but still think it's not really clean as IE is still running slow. Could somebody so kind to have a look at the logfile and give me some advice Many thanks. 2007-07-11 12:13 Is the UK losing its lustre
Highland Capital this week announced it would be the latest US entrant to the European marketplace. Highland, founded 20 years ago in Massachusetts, has already completed a string of investments in Europe, including Photobox, a Paris-based internet photo-sharing service, Picochip, a UK-based wireless infrastructure company, and Innovative Silicon, a Swiss memory chip maker. Of course, Highland's move is not at all pioneering - several US venture houses have a substantial European presence and ma …

2007-07-06 11:39 Here I am...
Have I forgotten you all out there Absolutely not! I have just been incredibly busy trying to get ready for my biggest girl turning 16!!!! My step daughter, Allycia is about to turn 16 and I'm still sewing her quilt (which needs to be ready tommorow!!!!). Completely inspired by Jennifer Paginelli fabrics this is the basis for the quilt: Perfect for turning 16 I think. I'm also incredibly behind in my scrapbooking and have decided that a finished page is better than no page at all! I've been tryi …

Okay, so I know it's been a while since I've been posting anything about my dolls, but I just had to show everyone these, they are hilarious (at least I think so). Me and my two girlfriends decided to have a big part when we turn 17 (our birthdays are close), and we wanted an interesting invitation, so we went to a good old photobox and snapped some pictures. There's four in one shoot, and we decided to do three each, and then the last one together. I didn't want to post their pictures, but here …

I decided to finally settup a deviantart account, I thought I had done about 5 years ago, but it seems not, I wish I had, my username had been taken in 2003 :( I'm disappointed in how little they give to the artist when prints/mugs/calendars etc are purchased however. Just 10-15% of what is left after base costs (which will already include a profit margin for deviantart) goes to the artist if you have a free account, and you cannot set sale prices. If you pay for your account (£12.75 a year, che …
