Wall Street Journal : Microsoft Corp. agreed to invest $240 million for a 1.6% stake in Facebook Inc. that values the social-networking site at $15 billion, beating Google Inc. in a closely watched contest. Last night a friend and I made the 2 hour jaunt to from Cincinnati to Indy to check out the Tokyo Police Club and Dappled Cities. Having only heard snippets of Dappled Cities prior to the show, it was mainly to see Tokyo Police Club (TPC from now on). The venue was a place called Birdy's Bar and Grill, and held around 500 max. Barley makes an excellent and versatile base for a salad. In the summer, when there is a day that is not too hot, I cook up a bunch; it will keep in the fridge or even frozen so you can make salads later on hot, hot days. Of course I use my rice cooker to cook it. I'm actually not sure how cooking just 1/2 cup of barley at a time will work; I always cook at least a cup and divide it.
